Purpose: This article explains the types of notifications and text messages you will receive from the Onvive Study App and their purpose.
Estimated Completion Time: 2-3 minutes
What to Expect:
- You can expect to receive 0-3 text messages and notifications each day throughout your participation in the study.
- These messages are an important part of your study treatment and how the app is designed to work.
- Do not turn off notifications or reply "STOP" to text messages, as this may interfere with your treatment and progress.
Types of Messages:
- Push Notifications: These look like text message notifications but are sent directly from the Onvive Study App to your device. They are part of your study treatment and require your permission to be sent when you install the app.
- SMS Text Messages: These are standard text messages sent to the phone number you verified during enrollment. They may include content to motivate you to return to the app or deep links that open the app when tapped.
Key Information:
- SMS messages are sent between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM based on the local time stamp of the last event recorded in the backend, except for the Welcome Message which is sent up to 15 minutes after signup.
- If you reply "STOP", "STOPALL", "UNSUBSCRIBE", "CANCEL", "END", or "QUIT" via SMS, the app will stop sending you messages.
- Any other SMS reply will yield an automatic message indicating how to contact support, and states it's an automated response not read immediately.
