Purpose: This article provides tips if you notice your phone's battery draining faster than usual while using the Onvive Study App.
Estimated Completion Time: 2-3 minutes
Possible Causes: Any app that actively uses your screen, processes data, or maintains an internet connection can consume battery. Digital therapeutic apps, which involve interactive content and data syncing, might use more battery than simple passive apps.
Steps to Manage Battery Usage:
- Ensure a stable internet connection: When your phone struggles to maintain a connection (e.g., in areas with poor Wi-Fi or cellular signal), it uses more battery trying to connect. Using the app in an area with good signal can help.
- Adjust screen brightness: The screen is one of the biggest battery consumers. Lowering your screen brightness can significantly reduce battery drain.
- Close other background apps: Having many apps open in the background can consume resources and battery. Close any apps you're not actively using.
- iPhone: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or double-click the Home button), then swipe app cards upwards to close them.
- Android: Swipe up from the bottom, hold, then release to see open apps. Swipe app cards upwards or tap "Clear all" or "Close all apps".
- Keep your device and app updated: Software updates often include battery optimization improvements.
- Check battery usage settings: Your phone can tell you which apps are consuming the most battery.
- iPhone: Go to Settings > Battery. Scroll down to see "Battery Usage by App."
- Android: Go to Settings > Battery > Battery usage (or similar).
- If Onvive or any other app shows unusually high usage, it might indicate an issue.
Important Note: It's normal for battery consumption to increase when actively using any demanding app. If you notice extreme or unusual battery drain, it might indicate a deeper issue with your device or the app.
