Purpose: This article provides steps to troubleshoot when the Onvive Study App is running slowly, lagging, or becoming unresponsive during use.
Estimated Completion Time: 5-10 minutes
Symptoms:
- Long loading times between screens.
- Delayed responses when tapping buttons or interacting with content.
- App freezing temporarily or becoming completely unresponsive.
Steps:
- Check Your Internet Connection:
- Even if the app loads, a weak or unstable internet connection can cause delays when content is streaming or data is syncing. Ensure you have a strong Wi-Fi signal or stable cellular data.
- Close Other Background Applications:
- Running many apps simultaneously can consume your device's memory and processing power, making other apps, including Onvive, run slower.
- iPhone: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or double-click the Home button), then swipe each app's preview upwards to close them.
- Android: Swipe up from the bottom, hold, then release to see open apps. Swipe individual app previews upwards or tap "Clear all" or "Close all apps."
- Force Close and Reopen the Onvive Study App:
- Completely close the Onvive Study App and then reopen it. This can clear temporary glitches.
- Restart Your Device:
- A full restart can refresh your device's system and often resolves performance issues.
- Check Device Storage Space:
- Low available storage can significantly impact overall device and app performance.
- iPhone: Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage.
- Android: Go to Settings > Storage or Settings > System > Storage.
- Free up space by deleting unused apps, photos, videos, or other large files.
- Ensure Your App and Device OS Are Up-to-Date:
- Outdated app versions or an older operating system can lead to performance issues. Update your Onvive Study App and your device's OS if updates are available.
